I made this cake for my husband's dad's birthday. I was so excited to make this cake. And out of all of the cakes I've made this one is in my top favorites to make. I just had so much fun sculpting the cake and pushing my talents and abilities. Not only did this cake look super cool it tasted amazing. It was a turtle cake, clever I know :) Chocolate cake with carmel and pecans and chocolate chips baked right in. Delish!!

I made this cake for my husband's mom's birthday. It was my first square tiered cake and boy was it hard to make them perfect, round is so much easier but I think with a little more practice I'll have the square down. All in all this cake was so much fun to make. I love being able to try new things and stretch my talents. Not only was this cake beautiful but it tasted amazing as well. The top tier was a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, the second tier was a chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream with crumbled reeses pieces in between each layer. And the bottom was a white cake with strawberries and fresh whipped cream. YUMMM!!!

I wasn't able to make a cake for this birthday because they live a few hours away so I was asked if I could make a cake topper for her to put on her own cake. She emailed me a picture of the owl on the invitation and asked me if I could make one that looked just like that. So I made the owl, branch and leaves and birthday sign and sent it to them. It turned out so cute!

I had so much fun making this cake. I had helped a very talented cake decorater with a Hawaiian themed cake before so I already knew what I wanted to do. The bottom layer was chocolate with chocolate whipped cream and the top was white cake with chocolate whipped cream.
